LeBron James and Anthony Davis Reunite in New-Look NBA All-Star Game
In a thrilling twist for basketball fans, LeBron James was the first pick in the revamped 2025 NBA All-Star draft held on Thursday night. The excitement didn’t stop there, as he was soon joined by his now former teammate, Anthony Davis. This reunion of two basketball titans is sure to be a highlight of the All-Star festivities.
The draft, which was broadcast on TNT, saw the “Inside the NBA” crew, including Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Kenny Smith, selecting players for three of the four All-Star teams. Team Shaq, led by O’Neal, boasts a roster filled with championship experience and veteran talent. Alongside James and Davis, the team includes stars like Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Jayson Tatum.
Meanwhile, Charles Barkley’s team is a showcase of international talent, featuring former MVPs Nikola Jokic from Serbia and Giannis Antetokounmpo from Greece. The team also includes current MVP favorite Shai Gilgeous-Alexander from Canada and the San Antonio Spurs’ rising star Victor Wembanyama from France.
Kenny Smith’s team is packed with up-and-coming All-Stars, led by Anthony Edwards, Jalen Brunson, and Jaren Jackson Jr. This team is sure to bring energy and excitement to the court.
Adding a unique twist to this year’s All-Star Game, the three teams will compete in a mini-tournament format, joined by the winner of the Rising Stars competition for first- and second-year players. This team will be led by WNBA legend Candace Parker, adding another layer of intrigue to the event.
