MLB Power Rankings: Week 2 Shake-Up
Welcome to Week 2 of the 2025 MLB season! As we dive into the early days of this baseball marathon, it’s fascinating to see how the rankings are already starting to shift. While our top three teams remain steadfast from Week 1, there are some significant movements within the top 10 that are worth discussing.
First up, let’s talk about Juan Soto and the New York Mets. They’ve made an impressive leap into the top five this week, surpassing Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, who are known for their torpedo-bat power. Meanwhile, Kyle Tucker’s Chicago Cubs have rocketed from No. 14 to No. 6, showcasing their potential early in the season. Unfortunately, it’s not all sunshine and home runs for every team. The Atlanta Braves, who started at No. 2 in our preseason rankings, have taken a tumble. They fell to No. 11 in Week 1 and have now dropped to No. 15 in Week 2. It’s a tough start for a team with high expectations.
